MINISTER PROMISES DELIVERY OF VITAL RESOURCES FOR DEVELOPMENT

MBABANE – Minister of Economic Planning and Development Dr Thambo Gina has promised to deliver vital resources across the country to accelerate development.

Dr Gina made this promise during his visit to Hosea Inkhundla in the Shiselweni Region to assess a newly constructed building. He thanked Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini for his dedication. He assured him that since the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development has the mandate to mobilise resources for accelerated development in the country, vital resources would be delivered to Hosea Inkhundla and other Tinkhundla centres, which serve as local governance units.

During this recent visit, which included assessing the new building at Hosea Inkhundla, Director of the Microprojects Programme Sibusiso Mbingo was also present. Dr Gina and Minister Dlamini showcased the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure through the Microprojects Programme.

While at Hosea, Minister Dr Gina stated that the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development has prioritised infrastructure development as a means to improve the quality of life for citizens. He explained that the Hosea Inkhundla project exemplifies this vision, providing a space that fosters collaboration, social interaction, and the sharing of knowledge among residents.

Dr Gina also took the opportunity to engage with local leaders, specifically Indvuna yenkhundla, Bongani Hlongwane. In his closing remarks, he expressed gratitude for Hlongwane’s unwavering dedication throughout the entire process and assured him that vital resources would be delivered to Hosea Inkhundla, emphasising the importance of collaboration. Reflecting on the significance of leadership, he remarked, “If you can’t make a difference, you are not even useful to the mind,” underscoring his commitment to impactful leadership and community development. This interaction reinforced the partnership between the government and local leadership, highlighting a shared vision for progress in Hosea.

Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the dedication shown by the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development and the Microprojects Programme. In his final remarks, he joyfully noted, “I’m happy that sekukhona lokubambisana,” highlighting the spirit of collaboration and partnership that has emerged from their efforts. The atmosphere was filled with hope and a shared commitment to support one another in their initiatives.

Mbingo also expressed his sincere appreciation to Minister Gina for fostering a strong partnership with other ministries. He acknowledged that this collaboration has significantly eased their efforts, enabling them to serve the King and the people more effectively. His appreciation reflected a shared commitment to work together for the betterment of the community, highlighting how unity can enhance their impact and support.
