Mbabane — The Ministry of Finance has confirmed the clearance of all invoices submitted by government suppliers up to December 31, 2024. The announcement comes as a relief to service providers, especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), who play a pivotal role in supporting government operations.
In a press statement dated January 7, 2025, the Ministry declared that the Treasury has successfully processed all invoices, ensuring there are no pending payments in the Checking or EFT Departments.

This move reflects the government’s commitment to fostering an efficient and reliable payment system for its suppliers.
Recognizing the importance of timely payments, the Ministry emphasized its ongoing efforts to refine its financial processes.
“We remain committed to improving our processes to ensure efficiency and reliability,” the statement read.
As part of this initiative, the government is conducting a comprehensive review to account for all payments made to suppliers.
The Ministry has urged suppliers who may not yet have received their payments to verify the submission of their invoices with the respective ministries.
This measure is aimed at ensuring that no payment is overlooked and that all transactions are accounted for appropriately.
The statement also acknowledged the critical role SMEs play in the national economy and expressed gratitude for their patience and cooperation during the process of improving the payment systems. SMEs, often regarded as the backbone of economic growth, will undoubtedly benefit from such assurances of prompt financial settlement.
