MBABANE – Mncedy the Poet will host the first ever gospel extravaganza in his community.
The event is set for September 6, 2024, at Nyamane Primary School. The all-night celebration of worship and poetry will kick off from 6pm until 6am. This was confirmed by Mncedy, the Poet, today.
Born Mncendisi Phinda Kunene, Mncedy is a Christian poet from Nyamane, next to Nhlangano, in the Shiselweni Region. The poet is known for the poem titled ‘Bafati Bafa Bati!’ which was produced in 2020. Now also known for the power, ‘Somandla!’ track.
When reached for comment, Kunene said, “This is a thanksgiving night, a way of giving back to the community for the support they’ve shown towards me. It will be a night not to forget. Nhlangano, come together in His presence. Let us meet good people. Everyone is invited.”
Other poets who will share the stage are: Poet Amandla, Nhlanhla Simelane, Siya Imbongi, Emmanuel The Worshipper, Bulelwa Shabalala, Gcina Losonkondlo, Mbuluzi brothers, Poet Simiso, Mankayane Gospel Brothers, Madadeni Jericho, Comfort The Poet, Melusi The Poet, Lungelo Mkokstad, Sphe Intombi Yetende, Emihle The Poet, Makoti WeMatimandze, Lindani The Worshipper, Gugu P., Samkelo Kenny G, SiMa The Poet, Comfort The Poet, Teejay The Poet, and many more.
Admission fee is E20.00 at the gate, E10.00 for kids. Senior citizens will enter free of charge. The poet also encouraged the public to bring their free will to support such a gathering. Fruits will be sold during the night.
