MBABANE – Upcoming female gospel artist Letta Dlamini is determined to make her mark in the entertainment industry with her latest track set to be released on August 1.
At long last, Dlamini is back with new music following her first release in 2016. The first single which introduced her the gospel scene, “Inyangekhulu” was part of the Swazi Praise project, founded and managed by businessman, Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo.
Her latest single titled “Kuwe” was recorded last year (2023) at Mavuso Trade Centre during the Mother of All Gospel Shows event.
Dlamini was amongst the contestants who sang their lungs out hoping to win prizes that included a full album recording deal.
The talented showcases her annointed, powerful voice and expert musicianship in her latest song. Her ability to bring emotion to life is apparent, as the song acts as a window into her Christian life journey.
She said she got the inspiration for the song from her journey as a Christian.
“I looked at my life as a Christian and realised that I am not perfect. There is so much I haven’t done right before God, I got back to the scripture in 1 jonh 1:8_9, where it says if you say I have not sinned before God you are fooling yourself because the Bible states that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,” Dlamini said.
The gospel singer emphasized that she wanted the world out there to understand that there is nothing wrong with confessing your sons before God.
The song was written and produced by Siya Maphanga. The final release is set to be available on all digital platforms during the first week of August.
The musician who hails from Simunye in the Lubombo region is not new in the gospel scene as she has performed in big stages and shared the very same stage with renowned musicians.
The gospel artist said her interest music stems from God-fearing women from her family and church.
