MOZAMBIQUE VS ESWATINI IN ATHLETICS AHEAD OF AUSC GAMES IN NAMIBIA

MBABANE – The nation’s athletes are set to compete against Mozambique on March 8, 2025, in Maputo.

This opportunity arises following an invitation extended to Athletics Eswatini (AE) from the neighboring country to participate in the upcoming competitions. The nation will send athletes who will also be part of the squad representing Eswatini at the Africa Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region V Games to be held in Windhoek, Namibia, in July.

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Athletics Eswatini has been invited to participate in the prestigious international athletics event in Mozambique on March 8, 2025. This is a tremendous honor and a golden opportunity for our talented athletes to showcase their skills, compete against top international competitors, and make Eswatini proud on the global stage. As we prepare for this incredible event, our focus remains steadfast on the upcoming AUSC Region V Games in Windhoek, Namibia,” reads a statement from AE.

Athletics Eswatini, under the leadership of Zakhele Dlamini, emphasized that this event is a pivotal step for the team, providing athletes with invaluable international experience ahead of the AUSC Region V Games.

“The Mozambique event serves as a crucial stepping stone in our journey, offering our team the chance to gain invaluable experience, refine their techniques, and build confidence in preparation for the regional games.
