MSUMPE MANCHESTER PROMOTED TO NATIONAL FIRST DIVISION AS HHOHHO REGIONAL FA WRAPS UP WEEKEND ACTION

MBABANE – The Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) has proudly confirmed the promotion of Msumpe Manchester FC to the MTN national  first division.

The promotion of this club shows  the growing strength and talent within Hhohho’s football landscape, as teams continuously raise the bar to secure their place in the upper echelons of the sport. HRFA’s leadership has expressed deep gratitude to the many individuals and organizations whose support made this successful season possible.

Expressing their excitement and appreciating the teams chief operational officer of the Hhohho Regional Football Association, Nkhosinathi Dlamini, said that they are very happy and proud of their teams who had made history in PLE by securing top position in their early days.

 “We are incredibly proud of Msumpe Manchester  for their hard-fought promotion. We congratulate them and I also express my heartfelt appreciation to our sponsors who made it possible for us to host these games” said Dlamini. “I am very proud for Amawele which has toped in  their arrival to the PLE.”added Dlamini.

He further summarized scores for the weekend matches stating the  final round of regular season matches delivered plenty of  excitement and with several standout results showcasing the depth of competition in the league:

Crocodile FC edged past Lobamba Cosmos with a narrow 1–0 win in a tense showdown. Imbube Celtics also secured a 1–0 victory, overcoming Golden Arrows in a closely contested encounter. Lozaza proved too strong for Mhlatane United, claiming a hard-earned 1–0 triumph. Swazi Sundowns delivered a commanding 3–0 performance over Double Action, highlighting their attacking prowess. Mawombe Arsenal matched that scoreline with a 3–0 win against Eleven Man, while Intsetse Fliers closed out the weekend’s action with a convincing 2–0 result over Liselesele.

As the curtain falls on this season, attention now turns to the eagerly anticipated playoffs. Set to continue on 25 May, continues to the 1st of June and end  on 8th June 2025. Football fans across the region can expect even more excitement as teams vie for promotion and glory, striving to etch their names into the annals of regional football history.
