MALKERNS – On Friday, the excitement of the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition reached new heights with the announcement of the 10 finalists who will grace the eighth edition of this year’s Grand Finale, set to take place on April 24, 2025, at House on Fire.

The announcement was made during the 18th edition of the MTN Bushfire Launch, directed by Phiwo Dhlamini and Anakhondza Kunene. MTN Bushfire Project Manager Penny Bouwer confirmed the top 10 finalists and expressed gratitude to fans for their support: “Congratulations to the MTN Bushfire Firefly Top 10! We wish all of the participants the very best as they continue on their musical journey,” she stated.

Bouwer added, “Catch hot live performances by our Top 10 at the MTN Bushfire Firefly Grand Finale at House On Fire on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 7 PM. Enjoy grooving to Swati-South African Amapiano guest artist Zee Nxumalo, and get your dancing shoes on for one of Eswatini’s sizzling spinners, DJ Stickx. It’s going to be an epic show!”

It’s worth noting that the Top 3 artists will win a performance slot at the MTN Bushfire Festival, which will be held from May 30 to June 1, 2025, at the beautiful Malandelas lawns.
