MBABANE – The Volleyball Trade Fair Cup will resume on Saturday with the Elite Women’s teams taking centre stage.
The games would be played at the Mavuso Sports Centre courts and they are part of the 2024 Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) that begins on August 30 to September 8.
On August 31, 2024, the first division men will take it to action at the Olymp Africa Development Centre, Lobamba with the Elite Men team clashing on September 2, 2024 at the Mavuso Sports Centre.
The draw is due to be conducted on Thursday evening during the elite women’s team managers, representatives technical meeting to be held at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA), Kwaluseni Campus, starting at 5:30pm. The teams would also be able to register their players during the meeting.
Volleyball was among the sporting codes that benefited from the E200 000 sponsorship from MulaSport that partnered with the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) to sponsor different sporting codes for the Trade Fair tournaments.
The others sporting codes are netball and basketball with each getting E50 000 while the same amount will be competed for by culture.
It’s been raining sponsorship for sports for the Trade Fair tournaments. The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) also made it big when it clinched E2 million 8Bet sponsorship for the Trade Fair Cup to be competed for by 16 teams.
