MBABANE – Attention nominees, voting lines now open!
It’s that time of the year as the date of the NACA Awards ceremony draws near; voting lines have officially opened on Friday. This comes after the national nominees were unveiled last Thursday at Sibane Sami Hotel.
The eight edition of the Eswatini National Arts and Culture Awards 2024 will be held on 14 December 2024, at a venue yet to be confirmed.
Only four categories will close on the day of the award ceremony at 7pm and these are, Outstanding Artist, Outstanding Classic of All Times, and Outstanding Song.
Each vote costs E2.00 only, the minimum of votes is five. Voting for all other categories closes on the 12th of December 12midnight.

The NACA awards have shown an impressive interest from the public which is evident with the impressing number of votes coming in.
The Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO, Stanley Dlamini, in a previous interview emphasized the importance of utilizing the NACA Awards platform to grow one’s brand as an up-and-coming artist. According to Dlamini, being nominated is already a significant accomplishment, as it increases an artist’s exposure and provides opportunities for networking. Winning a regional award can greatly boost an artist’s which is crucial in today’s digital age.
Sipho Makhabane, Chairperson of NACA Awards, shared that voting lines will remain open until a day before each regional award ceremony. “We will use a ratio of 60% votes and 40% judges’ scores to determine the winners. This will ensure that the nominees who receive the most votes have a higher chance of winning. The NACA Awards aim to provide an equal opportunity for all artists to showcase their talent and creativity.
