NGCULWINI – A Romeo and Juliet show!
South African music sensations, Afro-pop singer-songwriter Naledi Aphiwe and Mawelele, are set to bring their electrifying performances to Ehawini Lifestyle on April 5, 2025.
The duo, known for their hit song Romeo & Juliet, has been making waves in the music industry, and their upcoming show promises to be a night to remember, as confirmed by Ehawini Lifestyle’s Zeeyanda Shabalala.
The entry fee for the event, dubbed Romeo and Juliet Live at Ehawini Lifestyle, will cost E100, with gates opening at 3 PM. Ehawini is conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Manzini.
Born Naledi Aphiwe Myongwane (18) in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), rose to fame was meteoric after a video of her singing was reposted by Chris Brown, who later featured her on his song Shooter from the album 11:11. While attending Khethokuhle Secondary School, Naledi gained prominence after her voice was sampled on “Shooter” in 2023. She is signed under the music label Virgin Music Group. This global recognition opened doors for her, leading to a Metro FM Music Awards 2025 nomination for Best African Pop Song alongside Mawelele for Romeo & Juliet. Despite her success, Naledi recently completed her matric, balancing school with her growing music career.
At just 22, Manuel Mawelele has cemented his place in the South African music scene. Encouraged by his father to pursue music, he gained attention with his debut single “All My Life” featuring Kwesta. He has since collaborated with top artists like Blaq Diamond and Makhosi. His EP, released last week Friday( 7 March 2025), titled Time, is one of the most anticipated releases of 2025. His duet Romeo & Juliet with Naledi Aphiwe garnered over one million YouTube views in just 10 days, proving their undeniable chemistry.
Both artists have been recognized as game-changers in the industry, with legendary musician Donald calling them “the future of South African music.” Their performance in Eswatini marks another milestone in their careers, further solidifying their reputation as Africa’s rising superstars.
Ehawini Lifestyle recently hosted two successful shows, including Nkabination First Lady Lwah Ndlukulu two weeks ago, and also held a successful “Lovers Night with Xowla” event on February 14, 2025, which was headlined by South African singer and songwriter Xowla_Istallion.
