MBABANE – International player Justice Figareido will be working under new coach at Richards Bay, Brandon Truter.

He takes over from Vusumuzi Vilakazi. Truter was announced in the new job yesterday (Wednesday, August 7, 2024) and he has already started drilling the side that signed local forward Figareido before the start of the 2023/24 season.

“Richards Bay would like to announce the appointment of Brendon Truter as the club’s new head coach for the season 2024/25 with an option to renew.

Coach Brandon Truter is a familiar face in the South African football. He is former coach of Sekhukhune United. He is also a familiar face in Richards Bay, having coached the club during the 2018/19 season. He brings a lot of experience to the club.

We welcome him on his new role and wish him all the best,” reads a statement from the club.

Figareido is among the four international players playing in the Southern African countries. Others are Lindo Mkhonto who plays for Zambia’s Zesco United, Banele Ndzabandzaba who is with BDF XI (Botswana Defence Force) and Mcolisi Mkhonto who plays for Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy.

Truter will open his campaign in the Betway Premiership 2024/25 season against TS Galaxy next month. Richards Bay were on the brink of relegation last season and they survived by winning the play-offs.
