MBABANE – Eswatini meets Zambia in song!

NineFourBeats and Bless LePoet, two talented creatives from Eswatini, have joined forces with Zambian artist Wayesu to release a compelling new song titled “Ningam’khaleli”, which translates to “Don’t Sympathise With Her.” This collaboration beautifully blends music and poetry to convey an important message.

The song tells the emotional story of a young girl who faces significant challenges after disregarding the advice of those around her. As a result of her choices, she falls pregnant and suffers from illness. The overarching message encourages young people to heed the guidance of their parents and to avoid making risky decisions, particularly during their teenage years. It serves as a wake-up call regarding the dangers of early pregnancies, depression, and the consequences of ignoring wise counsel.

“Ningam’khaleli” is performed in Siswati and Nyanja, the native languages of Eswatini and Zambia, respectively. For broader accessibility, the song has been translated into English on Genius.

Wayesu is an award-winning rising star from Lusaka, Zambia, signed to ZoneFry Entertainment Music. He began his music journey in secondary school and has collaborated with various artists across Africa. His heartfelt vocals contribute significantly to the song’s emotional depth.

NineFourBeats born Sanele Comfort Dlamini, is a music producer and songwriter from Bhunya. After losing his father, he opened a home studio to support his family. Influenced by American RnB artist Lucky Daye, he has received award nominations in the region for his unique sound.

Bless LePoet born Sibusiso Shongwe, hails from Phonjwane. He began writing poetry in 2021 and quickly gained recognition for his impactful delivery and storytelling.
