MBABANE – Eswatini professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini is among the 101 golfers participating in the ongoing ABSA Ladies Invitational Challenge.

This three-round tournament, generously sponsored to the tune of E1.2 million, is part of the Sunshine Ladies Tour and is being held at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club. According to the draw released by the Sunshine Ladies Tour, Dlamini will tee off at 12:35 pm, alongside the duo of Gabriella Cowley and Romy Meekers.

In her last tournament, the Lobamba-born player finished 28 out of 86 players, successfully making the cut that allowed her to compete in all three rounds during the Platinum Ladies Open.

Among the competitors Dlamini will face in the ABSA Ladies Invitational are last week’s Platinum Ladies Open winner Kiera Floyd, multiple Sunshine Ladies Tour champions Casandra Alexander and Nadia van der Westhuizen, as well as first-time winner Danielle du Toit, all vying for honours in this week’s E1.2 million ABSA Ladies Invitational.

Hayley Davis from England and Romy Meekers from the Netherlands—both currently ranked in the top 10 on the Investec Order of Merit—will also be competing at the Royal Johannesburg.

Meanwhile, according to sunshineladiestour.golf, the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club is one of the most esteemed golf clubs in South Africa. In its nearly 130 years of existence, it has hosted seven South African Opens and numerous other prestigious tournaments.

The club’s two courses are both recognised as major achievers in various awards listings. The East Course is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 courses in the country, while the West Course, although not as highly rated as its counterpart, is the preferred choice for many members due to its accessibility for golfers of all abilities.
