NOBUHLE DLAMINI TO COMPETE IN E8.7 MILLION GOLF TOURNEY

MBABANE – Eswatini’s top professional golfer, Nobuhle Dlamini, is gearing up to represent the country at the prestigious Ladies European Tour (LET) event, the Lalla Meryem Cup, in Morocco.

Dlamini, a seasoned competitor on the LET since 2014, is among 108 golfers competing in the €450,000 (E8.7 million) tournament, which marks the opening of the 2025 LET calendar. The event will be held from February 6 to 8, 2025, at the iconic Blue Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat, Morocco.

The Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, designed by Robert Trent Jones, boasts an impressive 440-hectare estate featuring stunning landscapes, technical courses, and world-class greens. Nestled in a cork oak forest, the Blue Course is celebrated for its fast, undulating greens and challenging fairways, making it a dream destination for top golfers.

After taking a maternity break last year, Dlamini made a strong return to the sport. She remains Eswatini’s sole female professional golfer competing on the LET and has consistently raised the nation’s flag in global tournaments.

LET’s 2025 season promises an exciting schedule, spanning 20 countries across five continents, with a total prize fund of €39 million (approximately E700 million).

The Lalla Meryem Cup, held over three rounds, is renowned for its combination of technical challenges and breathtaking scenery. Golfers and fans alike regard it as a highlight on the LET calendar.

Dlamini’s participation underscores her resilience and determination to maintain her place among the best in the world. As she prepares to tee off in Rabat, she carries the hopes and pride of Eswatini.
