Graduation is a milestone worth celebrating, and Nosipho Oniker Gama, a passionate baker, is helping graduates make their day even sweeter. Having started baking at a young age alongside her mother, Gama turned her passion into a business in late 2023, offering a diverse range of baked goods including cakes, cupcakes, scones, muffins, biscuits, and savory treats.
Baking, she says, is an art. “Especially cakes, a customer sends a design, and you try to reproduce it to the tee. When you achieve that, the feeling is unexplainable. Seeing customers happy with your work at the end of the day is exciting,” Gama shared.

Since she is graduating this year herself, she wanted to help her colleagues celebrate their achievements at affordable prices. “Every celebration deserves a cake,” she said. “A graduation cake represents the sweet reward for years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, much like a trophy or diploma.” She also encouraged graduates to embrace life’s journey: “Graduation often brings pressure to have a five-year plan, land the perfect job, or know your purpose.
