MBABANE – Nsingizini Hotspurs’s CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round opponents and SA’s DSTV Premiership side Stellenbosch F.C have unveiled Sanele Barns ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The Cape Winelands latest signing is Sanele Barns (27 Years old), who joins from Richards Bay after an impressive domestic season, where he recorded six goals and seven assist in 35 appearances and helped Richards Bay retain their topflight status. The 2023/24 DSTV Premiership Midfielder of the season nominee signed a long-term contract in Stellenbosch.

Another Stellenbosch FC latest signings are Lehlogonolo Mojela and Omega Mdaka. Mojela signs with the Cape Winelands from Mpumalanga based club TS Galaxy, with a record of seven goals across all competitions and a brilliant goal against Stellenbosch FC in the 2023/24 Carling Knockout Final. While highly rated Mdaka (20 years-old), who recently progressed through Kaizer Chiefs development signed his first professional contract with the Cape Winelands.
On Thursday (July 11, 2024), the Carling Knockout Champions were drawn against Shiselweni Based side Nsingizini Hotspurs, during the draw that was conducted in Cairo, Egypt.
Nsingizini will kick-off the 2024/25 CAF Interclub season at home for the First Preliminary Round scheduled for August 16-18, 2024 and they will travel to South Africa for the return leg on August 23-25. The winner of the first Preliminary round will face AS Vita Club from DR Congo, with first leg scheduled for September 13-15, 2024, and the return leg scheduled for September 20-22, 2024.
