MBABANE – Children from Mbosi Primary School in Maphiveni will be all smiles, as OK Foods has come through for them by donating school uniforms worth E15 260.
The donation took place at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO) on February 6, 2025. It transpired during the donation that the school uniforms would be donated to the pupils at Mbosi Primary School. Staff members from the DPMO are expected to transport the uniforms to the school so that the children can have them.
Making the donations, OK Foods Operations Manager Sanele Dlamini, who was with Marketing Manager Sibonginkhosi Zwane, started with apologizing on behalf of OK Foods Founder Lincoln Motsa, who had promised to be part of the event, but could not, due to other commitments. Dlamini said they were happy to be able to donate the uniforms because they saw children as the future of the country, some of whom would be running the OK Foods.
Dlamini went on to state that OK Foods also donated food to the elderly people in Kwaluseni Inkhundla every year during the festive season. Dlamini also revealed that the DPM was his head teacher when he was still a pupil at St Mark’s in Mbabane, stating that because of that, his hands at OK Foods would remain open for her.
In response Dladla expressed gratitude to OK Foods for making this donation. What excited the DPM more was that OK Foods is a product of Emaswati, as its founder is Liswati. Dladla could not forget the members of the public who supported the shop. She said had it not been Emaswati who bought from that shop, OK Foods would not be able make the donation.
Speaking about the situation at Mbosi, Dladla said when they intervened for the first time in that school, the situation was tough, as the children did not even have food. She said the situation was becoming better now, as children were able to get food from organisations such as Unifoods and Lactalis Eswatini. Dladla said the donations would bring smiles to the children and would improve their performance in schools.
