MBABANE – Eswatini’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is set to receive a major boost with the launch of the Oracle Innovate Lab, a dynamic business accelerator programme designed to support early and growth stage entrepreneurs. Powered by Thinkroom and backed by The Oracle Group, the six month programme will officially launch in August 2025.
The initiative targets high-potential local founders who are serious about scaling their businesses and breaking into new markets. With a hybrid model that blends online learning with in-person mentorship and workshops, the Oracle Innovate Lab offers practical, founder focused support tailored to the needs of Eswatini’s SMEs.
Recognising the challenges many local entrepreneurs face, such as limited access to capital, business networks, and structured learning opportunities, the Oracle Innovate Lab aims to bridge these gaps. Through hands on masterclasses, one on one mentorship, and strategic networking, the programme is designed to help founders build, pitch, and grow with purpose.
“Founders in Eswatini are not short on innovation, grit, or drive. However, they need the support infrastructure around them to take that next big step,” said Catherine Young, Founder of Thinkroom. “This partnership with Oracle is an example of building meaningful growth with partners who want to make a real impact. We are excited to kick off our first cohort with the Oracle Innovate Lab.”
The programme is open to entrepreneurs across all sectors, but SMEs in the fintech space particularly those aligned with Oracle’s strategic focus are strongly encouraged to apply.
Sebastian Patel, Co-Founder and COO of Franc Group, who previously participated in a Thinkroom led programme, underscored the value of such support. “Access to mentorship and networks can be a game changer. I would strongly encourage all qualifying founders to apply.”
The Oracle Group, a long time supporter of local business development in Eswatini, sees this initiative as an evolution of its mission. “Oracle Innovate Lab is a call to action for local founders,” said David Takis, CEO of The Oracle Group. “Our goal is to help local businesses solve real problems and grow into the next generation of leaders shaping Eswatini’s economy.”
Applications for the Oracle Innovate Lab are now open and will close on 23 July 2025. Entrepreneurs ready to take their business to the next level can apply via: https://oracleinnovatelab.com.
