MBABANE – Solani’s Shisanyama will never disappoint with the line-up!
South African record producer, podcaster, fashionista and DJ, Oscar Mbo will grace Solanis Shisanyama tomorrow. This was confirmed by Solanis Shisanyama’s Bhekiwe Khumalo, also known as Locco.
Dubbed Good Vibes Only will be headlined by Oscar Mbo; he will be supported by Mac Breezy and Kyotic.
Born Oscar Mbongeni Ndlovu in Pretoria has created House music containing elements of Deep House, Deep Tech, Nu Jazz, Broken Beat, and Lounge Music. He turned professional in 2017 and is signed under The Ashmed Hour Records. He is best known for his founding and strong roles in the entertainment podcast dubbed The Ashmed Hour Show.
Entry fee to the show is E200.
According to Wikipedia, In September 2019, Oscar Mbo released his debut EP, ‘Life & Love’ and later in November launched his debut album, ‘Golden Power.’ He is also a member of the trio group Golden Boys Entertainment.
He has also been featured on Kaya FM‘s Platinum Friday with T-Bose, Metro FM, TransAfrica Radio and on the Vuzu music television show, ‘Hit Refresh.’ He has received an endorsement from Diesel.
In 2019, he did his first international tour in DJOON Club in Paris for DJ Shimza’s ‘One Man Show’ as well as in Mozambique. He has also performed and headlined in festivals such as the House Musiq Festival in Eswatini and the Wololo Music Festival in Witbank.
In October 2020, he released his second studio album titled, ‘For The Groovists,’ which was nominated for the 27th South African Music Awards for Dance album and featured amapiano producer Kabza De Small.
In February 2021, he performed at Blizz Lounge in Pretoria alongside singer Brian Temba. In July 2021, he released his EP titled, Defenders of House.
Early in the year the establishment (Solani’s) hosted South African female vocalist Mawhoo for the third edition of Solanis City Girls R’Up! The Amapiano star specialises in soothing musical genres. She was supported by an all- females local DJs namely; DJ Expo, Black Pearl, Lady Zee, It’s All Blaq, Wassabee, The Prefect, Ash, Belinda Chester, Zo’leka, and Chantel. The City Girls R’ Up was initiated to empower female DJs as the industry is dominated by males, hence the need to host such a shows.
The establishment has hosted big stars from Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C, Kelly Khumalo, and Zonke Dikana, Makhadzi, Black Coffee, and many more big names in the music industry from South Africa.
