MANZINI – Over 250 business people are expected to be part of the 2025 edition of the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).

This expectation was announced by Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo when making his remarks on May 16, 2025 when launching of the EITF. Last year, 250 investors participated in the EITF and the minister stated that this year, more than 250 of them are expected. The launch was taking place at Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre in Manzini.

The 57th Edition of the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) is set to take place from August 29 to September 8, 2025, at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre. The participation of the business people will highlight the event’s significance as a major economic and business gathering in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Importance of the Trade Fair

The EITF serves as a catalyst for economic activity and plays a crucial role in the national development agenda. It connects local and international businesses, fostering trade opportunities, partnerships, and investment prospects. The fair has historically hosted a diverse range of exhibitors, and this year anticipates even greater participation, particularly from international companies, reflecting a growing global interest in Eswatini as a trade destination.

Alignment with National Goals

This event aligns with the Eswatini Government’s “Nkwe” program of Action, which aims for an inclusive economic growth target of 12% GDP by 2029. The Trade Fair promotes industrialization, job creation, and the development of small and medium enterprises, providing visibility to local entrepreneurs and innovators.

Royal Support and Vision

His Majesty King Mswati III has emphasized the need to strengthen the business environment and promote entrepreneurship and innovation. The Trade Fair is seen as a response to this royal call, showcasing local talent and providing educational seminars while promoting Eswatini’s unique creativity.

Partnerships and Community Engagement

The success of the EITF is bolstered by partnerships with various sponsors, including the Premier League of Eswatini and 8Bet, which adds a sporting dimension to the event. Other partners include Corban Hardware, Mula Sport, Jenny Internet, Eswatini Bank, Building Society, and FNB Eswatini. This year’s fair will also feature business seminars, entertainment events, and a focus on promoting local talent.

Theme and Future Outlook

The minister stated that the theme for this year’s Trade Fair is “Digital Transformation 2.0: Creating Business Networks,” reflecting the critical shift towards digital technology as a foundational pillar for economic competitiveness and growth. The fair aims to foster innovation and partnerships, paving the way for new products and efficient business processes.

In conclusion, the 2025 Eswatini International Trade Fair promises to be a vibrant platform for economic exchange, cultural celebration, and entrepreneurial spirit, as it continues to evolve and adapt to the changing global landscape.
