MANZINI- Pastor Bae brings spirit, joy, and purpose to Eswatini Biggest Braai.

As Eswatini gears up for a spiritual and musical feast at the Eswatini Biggest Braai’s Gospel Sunday on 27 July 2025, one of the most anticipated figures on the stage is none other than the vibrant and charismatic Pastor Bae. Known for his warm presence and sharp humour, Pastor Bae opens up about his journey, the balance of ministry and public life, and what attendees can expect from this year’s edition at Mavuso Trade Centre.

“I was just a young Christian, saved and serving in church,” he reflects. From playing the piano and drums to lending his vocals during worship sessions, Pastor Bae’s roots in ministry began in music. But the real turning point came when he recognised the confirmation of God’s call on his life.

Interestingly, the name “Pastor Bae” wasn’t born in church. “It came from the Law Society of Eswatini,” he chuckles. “I used to MC many of their events, and one of their organisers coined the name. It had that thing  so I liked it.” Since then, the name has become a beloved brand, representing both ministry and magnetic energy.

Balancing pastoral duties with a public presence may sound like a challenge, but Pastor Bae makes it sound simple. “The Gospel is about people, about winning souls,” he explains. “And I love people. So the balance is natural. The message means nothing without the people receiving it.”

This year, he’ll share the mic with Nkubra Vilakazi and Jumbo Khumalo, promising an electric trio. “Expect a great vibe!” he says excitedly. “It’s an outdoor celebration of joy, laughter, and fun in the Lord’s presence. We are bringing the fire!”

Pastor Bae is clear about the value of gospel-centered events within larger entertainment festivals like Eswatini Biggest Braai. “The Gospel is good news,” he explains. “It brings hope and rest in Christ. This festival attracts all walks of life, which makes it the perfect ground for sharing that hope. Gospel music helps carry that message in a beautiful and accessible way.”

To young people who might wonder how to stay spiritually grounded while enjoying life, Pastor Bae offers sound advice: “It’s not about perfection. It’s about striving to be your best and constantly reaching for help from the Lord. Don’t lose sight of your ultimate goal. Every decision has its consequence.”

With his signature warmth, Pastor Bae encourages those who are undecided: “Don’t even think twice. It’s a chance to do something kind for society through PhilaniMaswati. The country needs your support. And honestly, we love seeing you show up!”

The Gospel Sunday at Mavuso Trade Centre promises 12 hours of soul-lifting music and ministry from 10:00 to 22:00, featuring Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors, Spirit Quest, Shongwe & Khuphuka, Mzwakhe Myeni, and many more. Entrance is E100 at the gate,  an investment in both your spirit and your community.
