MBABANE – A concert that is going to changes lives!
The Mbabane Crossover Show launched today by Philani Maswati Charity Organisation is here to change lives of the elderly people from Mbabane.
During a media briefing held at the Mbabane East Inkhundla, Philani Maswati announced that it would be hosting the first-of-its-kind event on December 31, 2024 at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground. While speaking on behalf of the charity organisation, Chairperson Lutfo Dlamini revealed that gates to the show would be opened as early as 7am, where aerobics and kids’ games would be the order of the day.

Dlamini also revealed that the aerobics would be led by the famous South African trainer Nkululeko Dlamini, widely known as the king of squats, with a yet-to-be-revealed lineup taking over for the night concert. The charity organisation also partnered with Shukuma Swaziland for the aerobics activities.
“We’re psyched to announce we’re finally bringing a crossover concert to the Mbabane people. to the calendar this year. This event is for the nation, Philani Maswati belongs to the nation, so excited that Her Majesty the Indlovukazi gave this event a greenlight,” Dlamini said.
He then urged the nation to come in their numbers. He mentioned that profits from the tickets will be used to assist the needy and elderly people in Mbabane. The show promises a mouth-watering line-up and exciting activities for both children and adults. Dlamini said the event will be safe.
Tickets for the first edition are retailing at E100, selling outlets and full line-up will be announced soon.
While speaking on behalf of Minister of Housing and Urban Development Apollo Maphalala, Under Secretary (US) of the Housing Ministry Hlobisile Dlamini extended her deepest gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III and Her Majesty the Indlovukazi for their unwavering dedication to the welfare of all EmaSwati.
“Through their vision, countless initiatives have been introduced to provide relief, support and empowerment to those most in need,” Dlamini said. She also thanked the charity organization for demonstrating innovation, resilience and creativity in raising funds to support those in need.
The show will see Mbabane vendors and other SMEs being promoted and empowered as this was their event too. The business community was urged to partner with the event. Companies that have already sponsored the upcoming event are eBet, Global Village, Shukuma Swaziland and Taste of Africa.
Mbabane East Indvuna Yenkhundla Phindile Maziya and her Mbabane West counterpart Phinda Maziya represented residents from both constituencies. They thanked the charity organisation for choosing Mbabane for the crossover.
