NHLANGANO – A very important event for local agriculture is approaching as Nhlangano prepares to host an enlightening Pig Production Workshop on April 8th, 2025. The workshop will start  at 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Regional Education Offices.

This workshop, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture is completely FREE, to ensure that all interested individuals have the opportunity to enhance their farming knowledge and skills without paying. This initiative is aimed at empowering local farmers and aspiring entrepreneurs in the field of pig production. Participants can expect to gain valuable insights into an array of essential topics that are crucial for success in pig farming. The workshop will delve into Breeding Techniques, focusing on the use of artificial insemination to improve the quality of livestock. This technique is vital for farmers who want to ensure their herds are healthy and productive.

The workshop will cover  Nutrition,  providing guidelines on the best dietary practices to maintain the health of pigs. Understanding proper nutrition is critical as it directly affects the growth, health, and productivity of the livestock. Farmers will learn about balanced diets that promote optimal growth rates and overall herd well-being.

The workshop will address Marketing, equipping attendees with strategies to sell pork products effectively in the competitive market. This aspect is essential for farmers looking to maximize their profits and expand their market reach.
