Government’s Response: A Roadmap for Change
In response, Dlamini presented an ambitious Programme of Action focused on:
✅ Job Creation & Economic Growth – Aiming for 12% GDP growth within five years.
✅ Sustainability & Green Energy – Transitioning Eswatini to a clean energy future.
✅ Public Sector Efficiency – Cutting waste, embracing digital transformation, and enhancing service delivery.
✅ Infrastructure & Investment – Expanding roads, energy, and technology to stimulate the economy.
The premier stressed that State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) must evolve and operate with financial independence to reduce reliance on government subsidies. “We must drive efficiency and innovation in public enterprises to ensure that they contribute meaningfully to national development,” he urged.
A Call to Action: “The Time to Act is Now”
Ending on a powerful note, Dlamini called on government agencies, the private sector, and citizens to work together in building a better Eswatini.
“The challenges we face are great, but so is our determination. The future of Eswatini is in our hands, and we must act decisively to ensure a prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive economy,” he concluded.
With a clear roadmap and national commitment, Eswatini stands at the threshold of a brighter future. But bold action must start today.
