SITEKI – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has promised that Government would work on the expansion of the Good Shepherd College of Health Sciences.

Dlamini said this on March 19, 2025 during the college’s 51st graduation ceremony. The premier was to introduce His Majesty the King.

The prime minister madr these utterances from the fact that he once visited the college last year. During his visit, he concluded that there was a need for the college to be expanded.

He said this was more so because there were many children of Emaswati who could not get tertiary education because of lack of spaces at the country’s colleges and universities.

Minister of Education and Training Owen Nxumalo, who was the programme director at the event, told His Majesty King Mswati III that the prime minister was very instrumental in ensuring the improvement of the Good Shepherd College of Health Sciences.

Nxumalo said the Ministry of Education and Training worked cooperatively with the Ministry of Health in improving Good Shepherd as an institution (including the hospital and the college).

The minister told the king that the collaboration between these two Ministries was guided wisely by the prime minister. He said the entire Cabinet team was also involved in the guidance.
