PROBLEM SOLVED AT MBABANE SWALLOWS WITH OLD-MC BACK TO RUN THE CLUB

MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows will be back in action after their problems were solved, with the old-Management Committee headed back to run the club.

This comes after the intervention of the Premier League of Eswatini. The old-MC headed by Acting President Absalom Ngwenya and Chairman Welile Mabuza surrendered the team to Princess Lungile (Wife to the late Victor Gamedze) last Monday but there has been changes seven days later as they also took back the club.

Mbabane Swallows had their MTN Premier League game against Royal Leopard postponed on Saturday as the team was never going to be able to honour the match due to the impasse.

Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chairman Polycarp Dlamini announced on Monday that after meeting with both faction Mbabane Swallows FC old MC and the new MC under Princess Lungile, an agreement was reached that the old MC continue running the club until further notice.

“We are happy that finally an agreement was reached for the benefit of the club. The team will now be under the Old MC and they are expected to be back in action this weekend after their game against Royal Leopard was postponed due to the challenges,” he said.

Dlamini added pleaded with both parties to respect the decision taken and support each other.

Meanwhile, The MC Chairman Welile Mabuza said they were ready to run the club against and they were hopeful these they will this time run the club without any disturbances. He thanked the PLE for its intervention.

Acting President Absalom Ngwenya then warned all stakeholders that they have to work together and support each other for the benefit of the club. He said their best interest was seeing the club being successful.

The bouncing back MC had to work on payment of the players as they are owed October and November salaries.

Other members of the returning MC include Public Relations Officer Knowledge Ngwenya, Manager Magwegwe Dlamini, Secretary Velile Malinga and members Thabiso Fakudze, Gcina Maseko, Mlungisi Siyaya and Mpumelelo Nkonde.

Their first assignment will see the team play against Nsingizini Hotspurs in the MTN Premier League.
