MBABANE – Instacash is bringing smiles to regional teams as they continue to win big in tournaments with five teams crowned champion on Saturday and Sunday at different venues.
Instacash is hosting the Regionals FA Cup and the Independent tournament that is played outside the auspices of the regional football association. There were five tournaments held over the weekend under the Lubombo and Shiselweni Regions with the teams winning cash prizes, soccer-kits, trophies and medals among others things.
Young Killers were crowned champions after beating Manchester United 5-4 after penalties with the match having ended with a 2-all draw in regulations time. This tournament was played on Sunday in Lavumisa Sports Ground.
Kubuta Celtics from the Lubombo Region were the winners of the Lubombo FA Cup played at Tambuti Sports Ground on Sunday. The Lubombo Super League champions beat Umtjezi 3-2 to take home the first prize money and the new soccer kit.
In Matsanjeni/ Qomintaba, Surprise FC won 1-0 against Black Mashuba in the finals to be crowned the champions with Bhandeni Home Tigers lifts the trophy under Lomahasha after beating Cosmos 4-0 in the finals played on Saturday.
There are four teams that play in each of the tournaments, starting with the first and second semi-finals with the finals played in the afternoon. Since August, Instacash has hosted these tournaments in all the four regions of the country, Hhohho, Manzini, Lubombo and Shiselweni.
The qualifying teams that get eligible to play in the tournaments are those that register the highest number of clients under the Instacash Funeral Cover that costs E15 per month and pays up to E10 000.
