MBABANE – Rangers will face Moneni Pirates in the last 16 stage of the Ingwenyama Cup without their hat trick hero, Musa Dlamini who is ruled out due to yellow card rule.
Rangers have a date with Moneni Pirates on Saturday at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium where both teams will be battling for a spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament. The game will start at 3:30 pm.
The former Green Mamba and Mbabane Highlanders striker is said to have accumulated three yellow cards, thus the suspension by the PLE.
The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) confirmed the suspension of Dlamini through a statement sent by Football Manager Banele Masondo.
Dlamini who is also the Captain of Rangers scored a hat trick in their 7-0 win against All Nations in the last 32 round. He is among the players who are contesting for the E10 000 top goal scorer award alongside Moneni Pirates Herve Irie and Nkwene Sundowns Simiso Dlamini who are all going to be in action this weekend.
“In terms of article 6.2 of the MTN Premier League of the 2024/ 25 rules and regulations, the player is therefore automatically suspended from participating in the next match to be played by his team
Kindly ensure that the said player serves his suspension as stipulated in the rule aforementioned,” reads the PLE statement.
Another player who is set to be out is Illovo’s Ncomo Gina. He will miss their last 16 game of the Ingwenyama Cup against Sisonkhe to be played on Saturday at Mayaluka Stadium, with kick-off 1 pm.
