MBABANE – Empowering parents to build stronger families!
Rising Stars Generation is set to host a transformative seminar aimed at empowering parents to strengthen their families. The seminar will take place on Saturday (April 12, 2025,) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mbabane National Library.
According to Simanga Makhanya one of the event organizers, “Entry is free, so every parent can join and benefit from this important experience.”
This event is designed to equip families with essential tools to navigate the challenges of modern parenting. Makhanya emphasizes the importance of strengthening the bond between parents and children in today’s rapidly evolving society. “Parents face numerous challenges from communication breakdowns to behavioral issues and external social pressures. We believe that by equipping parents with the right tools and knowledge, we can foster healthier families, prevent risky behavior among youth, and build a more resilient generation. This seminar is a proactive step toward that goal,” he explains.
The seminar will cover crucial topics that matter to families, including:
– Understanding Your Child
– Handling Behavior Issues
– Teaching Discipline and Values
– Building a Strong Parent-Child Relationship
The event will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including Prince Motlou, the founder of Rising Stars Generation Eswatini, who will deliver the keynote address. His dedication to helping youth will inspire parents to take positive steps in their parenting journey. Makhanya highlights the importance of the team: “He will be joined by a team of skilled facilitators, including Smanga Makhanya (National Coordinator) and Bandile Dlamini (Assistant National Coordinator), among others, who bring hands-on experience in parenting, youth mentorship, and community development.”
Parents can expect an engaging and insightful experience. Makhanya adds, “They will walk away with practical parenting strategies, a deeper understanding of youth behavior, and renewed confidence in their role as caregivers.” The seminar also provides a platform for parents to connect, share experiences, and receive support from both professionals and fellow parents.
This initiative is entirely free of charge. Makhanya reinforces their mission by stating, “We believe that every parent should have access to quality support and guidance, regardless of their financial situation. This initiative is part of our broader mission to create accessible, community-based solutions for family empowerment.”
