MBABANE – Sarnilo drops her long-awaited summer hit “Don’t Be Shy” this weekend.
It’s finally here! Rising star Sarnilo has officially released her brand-new single “Don’t Be Shy” featuring the legendary Nana Magagula, now available on all streaming platforms. The radiant collaboration promises to be this summer’s feel-good anthem, combining fresh Afrobeats energy with timeless soul.
Announcing the release, Sarnilo shared a cheerful message to fans: “Gooood Morningz! Here’s a little Swazi magic for your weekend, Don’t Be Shy ft. Nana Magagula, out now” Listen here.
The track is a joyful blend of Afrobeats rhythm, smooth vocals, and a dash of Portuguese flair, carried by a groovy live bassline. It’s a perfect mix of sunshine and sophistication, bringing together two generations of Swazi musical brilliance.
Nana Magagula’s return after more than 20 years away from the spotlight adds a heartfelt layer to the song. Known for her award-winning album “Five Loaves and Two Fish,” Magagula’s warm, soulful voice brings depth and nostalgia to the upbeat tune.
Produced live in studio, Don’t Be Shy features Vuyo Nsibande on keys and production from top local producers Lethumusa and Brainz, giving it a lush, organic sound that feels both modern and rooted in African soul.
Sarnilo described working with Magagula as “a dream come true,” calling the experience both humbling and historic. “Having her return to music through this song feels like witnessing history in motion,” she said.
The single also teases Sarnilo’s upcoming sophomore project, “Makuhwalala,” set for release on 14 November 2025, promising more stories of love, loss, and resilience told through African soundscapes.
