SHEWULA — In the quiet hills of Shewula, where opportunity is limited but ambition is abundant, one young creative is changing the game with nothing but a camera, passion, and purpose. Sibusiso Mngometulu, better known as Ketsee, is the visionary behind Ketsee TV, a rising digital platform that’s giving Eswatini’s churches, traditions, and communities a powerful voice.

Ketsee’s love for visual storytelling began when he started assisting a schoolteacher with videography work. What started as simple help quickly evolved into a passion — and a calling.
“I didn’t start this out of hunger or desperation, but out of love,” Ketsee explains. “But when I saw how hard it was to find employment in Eswatini, I decided to turn my passion into something that could also sustain me.”
Ketsee TV has grown from humble beginnings to a platform now featured on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. While it started by covering Zion church services — a nod to Ketsee’s own spiritual roots — the channel has expanded to weddings, traditional ceremonies, and even music videos. Some of his work now airs on Apo Zion and KZN TV in South Africa.
His podcast, still in development, will tackle vital social issues like gender-based violence, offering more than entertainment — it’s about impact.
“I was inspired by how South African Zion churches use media to promote their message. I knew we could do the same here in Eswatini,” he says.
Currently operating out of a small office in Kandlunganye, Matsapha, Ketsee edits, plans, and builds his dream — with borrowed equipment. His biggest challenge remains access to gear like cameras and gimbals.
“I really need support with equipment so I can produce professional-quality work consistently,” he says.
Despite the hurdles, Ketsee remains focused. Inspired by media pioneer Qhawe Mamba, he dreams of building a channel on the scale of Channel YemaSwati (Channel S).
“This isn’t just about posting videos anymore — it’s a real vision,” he says.
