KWALUSENI – For Sisekelo Motsa, being crowned Mr. UNESWA 2025 has been nothing short of a transformative experience. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Eswatini, Kwaluseni Campus, Motsa’s journey to the title was marked by excitement, nervous anticipation, and deep gratitude.
“Standing on that stage, hearing my name announced as the winner, was surreal,” Motsa reflected. “I was overwhelmed with joy, and I owe immense thanks to my parents, family, friends, and the Bhunya Alliance Church for their unwavering support. Most importantly, I thank God—without Him, I wouldn’t have succeeded.”
His decision to enter the competition was driven by a desire for personal growth and a commitment to becoming a representative leader for his peers.
“I wanted to challenge myself and step outside my comfort zone,” he said. Motsa credits his family for being a pillar of strength throughout the process.“Their encouragement and belief in my potential gave me the confidence to take this leap,” he shared. He also drew inspiration from fellow students who led with passion and purpose, which ignited in him a desire to give back to the university community.
Now wearing the crown, Motsa is focused on using his platform to promote inclusion and student well-being. His mission as Mr. UNESWA is to serve as a voice for students and build a campus environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. He plans to collaborate with student organizations to:
Promote mental health awareness
Host inclusive campus events
Encourage open and honest dialogue
“By being actively involved and approachable, I hope to unite our community and support initiatives that truly matter,” he stated. Motsa believes that leadership isn’t about being flawless—it’s about authenticity and compassion.
“You don’t have to be perfect to lead,” he emphasized. “You simply need to care and be willing to make a difference.”
Through his role, he hopes to inspire others to embrace their uniqueness, take bold steps, and use their talents to uplift others.
“If even one person feels more confident or connected because of something I’ve said or done, then I will consider my role a success.”
More than just a titleholder, Sisekelo Motsa embodies hope, empowerment, and the spirit of servant leadership. His dedication to inclusivity and his vision for meaningful change make him a standout figure at UNESWA and a role model for students across Eswatini. With sincerity and purpose, he’s poised to leave a lasting mark—on campus and beyond.
