MBABANE – Six residents of KaShoba Chiefdom are amongst the beneficiaries of the kind donation of blankets by Her Royal Highness (HRH), Inkhosikati Make LaNkambule.

KaShoba is one of the five chiefdoms situated under Mpolonjeni Inkhundla, in the Lubombo Region. The four other chiefdoms include Sigcaweni East, Mpolonjeni, Ndzangu, and Ngcinia. The KaShoba donation, which took place yesterday (Sunday, July 14, 2024), brought warmth and comfort to the elderly, disabled, and less privileged members of the community.

Organised by Eswatini TV’s Outside Broadcasting (OB) Unit, under the directive of the Inkhosikati, the initiative aimed to identify and support those in need within Eswatini. This noble task entrusted to OB underscored the commitment of Her Majesty and the Royalties to uplift and assist the underprivileged in Eswatini.

Thoko Dlamini, a grateful beneficiary of the donation, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the blankets, emphasizing their significance during the cold weather.

“We thank Inkhosikati LaNkambule for remembering us in KaShoba. May the Lord bless you. I am very happy because we have benefited a lot. Our families can finally be warm in this cold weather” she remarked.

Phindile Gamedze echoed similar sentiments, praising the initiative for ensuring warmth for their families during the chilly July weather.

The act of kindness extended by HRH was not lost on Ncamiso Dlamini, who highlighted the importance of such donations for disabled individuals like himself. “We appreciate the Inkhosikati for the donation. We will always remember it as residents of KaShoba and we hope you will remember us even in future donations,” he said.

Dlamini further appealed for further assistance in the form of food parcels, recognising the ongoing challenges faced by the disabled community.

Inkhosikati LaNkambule started these series of charitable donations in 2007, with the objective of providing assistance to the less fortunate during the winter season, ensuring they are adequately sheltered and warm.

The residents of KaShoba conveyed their sincere gratitude to HRH and called for continued support for the underprivileged in Eswatini.
