SOUTH AFRICA’S OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST SIZWE NDLOVU INSPIRES ATHLETES FORUM

MBABANE – South Africa’s 2012 London Olympic Games gold medallists Sizwe Ndlovu was the guest during the athlete’s forum held at Olympic Africa Centre, Lobamba on Saturday.

He was in the country through an invitation to inspire the athletes during the forum which was chaired by Athletes Commission Chairman, former sprinter Sibusiso ‘Swazi Bolt’ Matsenjwa.

Ndlovu is the most senior member of the South African Lightweight Men’s Four crew, that rose to fame when they came from behind in the 2012 Olympic Regatta in London to win the first-ever rowing gold medal for South Africa

“Following a fruitful meeting with the local athlete’s commission board, chaired by Sibusiso Matsenjwa, Sizwe Ndlovu, a 2012 gold medallist in Rowing from S.A proceeded to the successful hosting of the athletes forum at the Olympafrica Sports and Development Centre – OAC.

The event which had an impressive turnout was closed by the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association – Chief Executive Officer, Maxwell Jele,” reads a statement from EOCGA.
