MANZINI – The Manzini Regional Football Association has announced a major financial boost for the upcoming Mafutseni Promotion League, thanks to a generous E50,000 sponsorship from Southern Trading Company in partnership with Sunny.
The league is set to kick off this coming weekend and promises to be one of the most competitive tournaments in the region. The sponsorship is aimed at encouraging players to compete with determination and pride, knowing that their hard work could pave the way to the MTN National First Division.
Winning teams in the league will be awarded handsomely. The prize structure for the tournament reflects the sponsors’ intent to reward excellence and participation. The champions of the league will walk away with a trophy, medals, and a grand cash prize of E11 000. The second-placed team will be awarded silver medals and E8 000, while the third-place finishers will receive bronze medals and E5 000.
Teams finishing fourth and fifth will pocket E4 000 and E2 000 respectively. Those placing sixth through ninth will each receive E1 500, while teams ending the league in positions ten through fifteenth will not go home empty-handed, with E1 000 each.
Speaking to this publication, Manzini Regional office clerk, Muzi Mtseftwa warned fans and players to behave well in the process of the games. “As an office we encourage all fans and teams to behave well infront of our sposnors. We discourage an kind of violence during the games.” Said Mtseftwa
The Mafutseni Promotion League continues to be a key platform for discovering and nurturing football talent in Eswatini, and with this new sponsorship, it promises to reach even greater heights.
