MBABANE – ‘Inkabikazi’ is finally out.
MTN Bushfire Firefly 2024 winner Stella Jacobs released a new single titled ‘Inkabikazi’ today (July 26, 2024) on all digital platforms.
She confirmed this during an interview with this publication. “‘Inkabikazi’ is about Stella Jacobs and it is about me and my experience so far in the music industry, and it also introduces my new sound to the world,” Jacobs said.
It is worth noting that she is a multi-talented artist, known for her dynamic and soulful performances as a recording artist and songwriter. Her music embodies a unique blend of genres, captivating audiences with her powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics. She is not just an artist, but a brand that represents the essence of creativity and passion in the music industry.
Jacob’s skyrocketing rise in the music industry has been nothing short of remarkable. She has won the prestigious MTN Bushfire Firefly competition in April, making it to the top three, and showcased her talent by performing at both the MTN Bushfire Festival and MoMo Xperience in June. Adding to her success, she also joined the artistic collective Melting C and contributed to the hit song ‘Mbamba’ by DJ Citie.
She elaborated that her love for rapping was sparked by the Mvutjini Crew’s music. She initially wanted to experiment with the genre without expecting to become passionate about it. “I tried it out, not knowing that I would fall in love with it. The Mvutjini crew inspired me to write my song,” she said.
She shared her wisdom with fellow artists in the local music scene, emphasising the importance of hard work, persistence, and faith.
