MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows have formally requested for blood donation from the nation in support of their injured player Mxolisi ‘Given’ Lukhele who was involved in accident on Sunday night.
Lukhele who is currently admitted at the Pigg’s Peak Government Hospital was from watching football games at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre, Buhleni when the accident happened. He was a passenger in the car.
Swallows released a statement making the request, especially to people close to Pigg’s Peak or in Mbabane.
“Maswaiswai, Mbabane Swallows FC’s Management hereby confirm the news regarding one of our players, Mxolisi ‘Given’ Lukhele who was unfortunately involved in a car accident last night (Sunday), on the way back from watching games at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre.
Blood Donation Urgent Request, Maswaiswai, we plead for your urgent help, Mxolisi urgently needs blood donations. We especially appeal to those close to Mbabane Government Hospital and Pigg’s Peak Government Hospital. Upon arrival, please report that you are there to donate blood for Mxolisi “Given” Lukhele,” reads part of the statement.
The red and white outfit also requested the nation to keep him (Lukhele) and the family in prayers. The team said doctors were doing everything in their power to give him the necessary medical attention.
