MBABANE – The swimming season kicks off for the first time in 2025 as Griffin Swim Club hosts the “New Year Gala” this Saturday, January 25, 2025.
The event will take place at the Enjabulweni School Swimming Pool, beginning at 9 AM. After a seasonal break, swimming competitions are back in full swing. The gala, sponsored by mobile giant MTN Eswatini, promises to be an exciting start to the year.
Spectators eager to witness the action can attend for an entrance fee of E20.
“It’s going to be an exciting day at our first gala of 2025. @gri_ffinclub4life will be hosting. We can’t wait. Hoping to see you all there in numbers,” the Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA) shared on its social media pages.
Swimming remains one of Eswatini’s dominant sports, with the country well-represented in international competitions. Additionally, Eswatini has produced officials like Mark Hoare and Mluleki ‘Sluga’ Simelane, who have officiated at prestigious international events.
