MBABANE- Tabankulu Celtics, fresh from their triumphant promotion to the elite Premier League of Eswatini via the play-offs, are gearing up for a challenging and exciting new chapter. Coach Percy Shongwe, the architect behind their recent success, has revealed that the team is already deep in preparations for the upcoming season.

Speaking exclusively, Shongwe expressed his determination to assemble a competitive squad capable of holding their own against the established giants of Eswatini football. “We are planning meticulously for the season ahead,” he said. “Our aim is to shake up the big teams by recruiting talented players who can bring dynamism and fresh energy to our lineup.”

However, the coach emphasized that their recruitment strategy goes beyond just poaching experienced  players from top clubs. “The key focus is on young players,” Shongwe explained. “We want individuals who are flexible, eager to learn, and can adapt quickly to the demands of top-flight football. Building a team with a strong foundation of youth will ensure sustainability and growth.”

This approach signals a long-term vision for Tabankulu Celtics, blending youthful potential with strategic signings to create a balanced and resilient squad. The challenge ahead is formidable, as the Premier League features some of the most competitive and well-established teams in the country.

The burning question remains, Will Percy Shongwe and his Celtics truly shake up the big teams and carve out their space in the Premier League? With their clear focus on youth development and ambitious recruitment plans, the upcoming season promises to be a compelling story of underdog resilience and tactical innovation.

As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Tabankulu Celtics to see if they can translate their playoff success into a lasting impact on Eswatini’s top football stage.
