This is according to a press release that reached this publication today (Friday, November 22, 2024). According to the press statement, the RFM Hospital expressed heartfelt gratitude to Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare for the donation of 10 dialysis machines through the Global Medical Instrument Support & Service Program (GMISS) in collaboration with Taipei Medical University.

This donation, according to the hospital, significantly enhanced the RFM Hospital’s ability to treat kidney disease, reducing patient wait times and providing more timely medical care. The donation would not only greatly boost the hospital’s medical capacity, but would also reaffirm the steadfast friendship between Taiwan and Eswatini.

According to the statement, the donation ceremony was held on October 31, with the Superintendent Dr. Shih Chun-Ming of Taipei Medical University Hospital highlighting that this donation exemplified Taiwan’s commitment to global health. Through professional medical technology and humanitarian care, Taiwan supported the Kingdom of Eswatini to improve public health and well-being.

Mazwi Mavuso, the Chief Executive Officer of Eswatini Nazarene Health Institute (ENHI), expressed special thanks, on behalf of RFM Hospital, to Taiwan for its generous support, stating, “The arrival of these dialysis machines will elevate our medical services, particularly in the treatment of kidney disease. We are deeply grateful to Taiwan for reaching out in our time of need, showcasing Taiwan’s warm power and commitment to global health.”

Taiwan Government has long been active in promoting international medical assistance, and this donation exemplifies the spirit of “Taiwan Is Helping,” demonstrating Taiwan’s key role in global health security. Both RFM Hospital and the local community sincerely appreciate Taiwan’s contribution and look forward to deepening cooperation to build a healthier future together, according to the statement.

This donation not only strengthened RFM Hospital’s medical resources but also symbolised the deep and enduring friendship between the two nations.
