MBABANE – Tonight, the vibrant 23:28 Lounge will witness an electrifying transformation as Luve-born TV personality Baphetsile “ThickB” Dlamini takes a bold leap from the screen to the decks, officially launching her career as a DJ.
The show dubbed Perfect Friday is slated for 6pm till late, entry is free as confirmed by the owner of the establishment Thembinkosi Mthethwa. Other performances will include Young Love, DJ MBO, and featuring ThickB.
Known for her infectious energy and sharp wit on television, ThickB is ready to bring that same passion to music lovers, trading camera lights for club lights. But don’t worry—she’s not leaving television behind!
“I will never ditch my TV gig for deejaying, well, not in this economy,” she jokes with a laugh. “I will do both.”
Her sets will reflect her soulful personality, blending Afro House, Tech, and the rising genre of 3Step—a sound she describes as “soulful with a punch.” ThickB has been perfecting this vibe ahead of tonight’s highly anticipated launch.

As she embarks on this new journey, the rising DJ is focused on building her name in the music industry. “I’m new to this game, so I just want to get comfortable, master the craft, and then think about collaborations. As for TV, I’m hoping more auditions come my way this year—I want to go back to acting and maybe even content creation,” she shares, highlighting her ambition.
