THOKOZANI DLAMINI IS NEW FNB ESWATINI CEO

MBABANE – First National Bank (FNB) now has a new chief executive officer (CEO).

His name is Thokozani Dlamini and he will be assuming his new role from January 1, 2025. According to information posted today (Wednesday, July 24, 2024) by FNB Eswatini on its social media platforms, Mbingo will be assuming another bigger role within the FirstRand Africa portfolio.

Mbingo, according to the statement, has successfully led FNB Eswatini for almost 10 years. This announcement, according to the statement, was made by FNB Eswatini Board Chairman Joseph Ndlangamandla.

Dlamini will assume his new role after having been a CEO of FNB South Africa’s Merchant Services for six. Before assuming this role, Dlamini had been the Merchant Services Chief Operations Officer (COO) for three years. Dlamini comes with a strong technical and strategic depth, alongside an impressive academic achievement.

He holds an MSc (Master of Science) in Business Administration, as well as an MSc in Civil Engineering. Prior to that, he obtained a BSc (Bachelor of Science) in Maths and Environmental Science, as well as a BSc in Civil Engineering.

Mbingo, speaking about the new development, thanked the board of directors for working well with him. He described them as being visionary and contributed to the improvement of the bank over the years. Mbingo also thanked the management and staff of the bank for working with dedication, improving the bank in the process.

The CEO (Mbingo) is said to have worked with his management team in improving the bank’s digital footprint and expanded the market of the bank.
