MBABANE– A trending discipline camp taking social media by storm, especially TikTok, is coming to Eswatini.
It will be held at the Mlawula Nature Reserve in August.
The camp will occur on different days. Camp 1 will be from August 15 to 19, 2024, while Camp 2 is on August 19–23, 2024. Simanga Makhanya, one of the organisers, confirmed the exciting news.
The discipline camp aims to change the mindset of young people and help them overcome different issues by tackling a wide range of behavioural challenges. These include disrespect, back-chatting, a bad attitude, bullying, laziness, and peer pressure.
According to Makhanya, they will apply various strategies, which include physical exercise, verbal engagements, and religious education, all geared towards building mental and physical strength.
Trained and qualified professionals will be part of the programme, as attendees will be given activities that are suitable for their age groups. That will ensure that everyone is monitored closely, taking into account their day-to-day responses and engagement behaviours throughout the camp duration.
Makhanya encouraged parents to seize the opportunity for their children’s personal growth, as the discipline camp will promote a positive mindset and break negative habits.
