MANZINI – Music lovers filled Mavuso Exhibition Centre for Umuthi Fest’s electrifying and unforgettable second edition.
The highly anticipated Umuthi Fest 2025 proved to be nothing short of spectacular as over a thousand of music lovers from across Eswatini and neighboring countries flocked to the Mavuso Exhibition Centre on Saturday, October 18, 2025. From the first beat at noon to the final performance in the early hours of Sunday morning, the event delivered a powerful celebration of music, culture, and unity that left fans talking long after the lights went down.
The star-studded lineup featured some of Southern Africa’s most celebrated artists, including Blaq Diamond, Naledi Aphiwe, Mlindo the Vocalist, Shongwe neKhuphuka, Linda Dlamini, Makhosi, Donald, Mawelele, Siya Ntuli, and Xowla, among many others. Each act brought an exciting and unique energy to the stage, performing crowd favorites that had the audience singing along word for word.
Local talent also shone throughout the festival, with DJs and homegrown performers adding a uniquely Swazi flavor to the night. Their sets energized the growing crowd, proving that Eswatini’s music scene continues to rise and gain recognition across the region. Genres ranged from gospel and Afro-soul to Amapiano and hip-hop, showcasing the nation’s diverse and evolving sound.
The atmosphere at Mavuso was electric, filled with cheers, dancing, and endless joy as fans celebrated both the music and the sense of community the festival fostered. Food stalls, local merchandise, and art displays added to the vibrant setting, turning the venue into a full cultural experience.
Following their thrilling performance, Blaq Diamond expressed their appreciation to Eswatini fans for the warm reception.
