MBABANE– The success and strong brand of Eswatini-born DJ, Uncle Waffles has seen her work being recognised on musical digital platforms Audiomack.
On Friday, Uncle Waffles, born Lungelihle Zwane (24), was revealed as the second most female artist in South Africa on Audiomack.
The list of the most female-streamed artists, according to the digital platform, are;.
- Nkosazana Daughter.
- Uncle Waffles.
- Lwa Ndlukulu.
It is worth mentioning that this comes shortly after the talented global superstar Uncle Waffles released visuals for her new song. ‘Baphi’ on YouTube last week.
This comes almost two weeks after she has dropped her latest Extended Play (EP). This new EP features three tracks, each showcasing Uncle Waffles’ unique blend of Amapiano and Afro-beat sounds.The first song, ‘Baphi,’ features an impressive line-up of collaborators, including Royal Musiq, Mark Khoza, Cow Boi, and Uncool MC. The The music video for this song has since received over 60,000 views on YouTube. during the time of compiling this report. The second track, ‘Uyah,’ brings together 2Wo Bunnies, Jay Music, and Imbongiyosizi, adding to the diverse musical tapestry of the EP.
On 6 December she also released her new album titled 4 Da Ho’s. Uncle Waffles is no stranger to collaboration, often blending her distinct style with the unique sounds of her peers. The final song, ‘Zenzele,’ reunites Uncool MC, Royal Musiq, and Cow Boi, and introduces Xouppy, ensuring that The EP culminates in an explosive finish.
Dubbed the ‘Princess of Amapiano’ by Billboard, she has captivated audiences with her distinctive sound, mesmerising dance moves, and vibrant personality. Her debut single, ‘Tanzania,’ has been a phenomenal success, topping charts in South Africa and achieving an impressive 7x platinum certification.
