MBABANE – Ambassador Servant Pastor Jeremiah Carnell Washington from the United States has made a generous donation of food, fruits, toys, and cash gifts to the Mbabane Government Hospital and the residents of Mahwalala.

During the handover ceremony, the pastor emphasized that the donations were not intended to promote any church but were rather about extending a helping hand to those in need. He shared that it brought him great joy to celebrate the Christmas holidays with the underprivileged.

“This has become a tradition for me, as I always return to assist the less privileged. Today, we are here to celebrate with the children who are admitted at the hospital. Our mission is to spread love and the word of God,” Pastor Washington explained.

He was accompanied by Lutfo Dlamini, Chairperson of the Philani Maswati Charity Organization, and Pastor Bhekisisa Tsabedze, a representative from the hospital.

In his remarks, Dlamini expressed his gratitude for the pastor’s generosity, stating that he was deeply moved by the donations. He pledged to further support such efforts through the Philani Maswati Charity Organization.

“I believe everyone should experience joy during the festive season, and I sincerely commend the pastor for making such a significant contribution today,” Dlamini remarked.

Dlamini also noted that the donations would be a great help to the children and their families during these challenging times.

While in Mahwalala, the group visited Dora Hlophe, an elderly woman living in a dilapidated house, and promised to build her a new, safe home in the near future. In addition to donating food, toys, and groceries to Hlophe, other children in the Mahwalala area also received similar gifts.

“I feel incredibly humbled by the donations we’ve received today. The groceries will make a significant difference, as some of us are struggling to feed our children due to various circumstances,” said Hlophe.

The pastor, expressing his commitment to continuing his charitable efforts, promised to return to assist more elderly people across the country. He also shared his excitement about partnering with the Philani Maswati Charity Organization for future initiatives.
