MANZINI– Get ready to warm up with Uzalo’s Pastor Gwala.
South African actor, singer songwriter, rapper, director, and entrepreneur Menzi Biyela will grace IF’s Lounge Restaurant and Bar on July 27. Biyela plays one of the lead role characters on one of the most watched South African soapies which airs on SABC 1 weekdays at 8.30pm.
The show, dubbed Warm Nights with Menzi Biyela, is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. This was confirmed by IF’s Lounge Head of Entertainment, Zama Mistosoul.
When reached for comment he said, ‘Warm Nights is an uptown outdoor night of music, fun, coats, jackets, and fire for the upmarket like-minded people? It promises to be a memorable event for all fun lovers and music lovers. Our guest artist is Menzi Biyela, who is well known for his role on the popular soap opera Uzalo as Pastor Gwala. He promises to deliver a fire performance from his popular songs and also from his upcoming album, shared Mistosoul.
According to Mistosoul, IF’s Lounge promises another excellent event with excellent production, good music, and the best food and hospitality in town. He advised patrons to dress in their classy warm coats and jackets and have some fire fun.

About Menzi Biyela
Born on May 5, 1983, Menzi Brighton Biyela is a South African actor, singer songwriter, rapper, director, entrepreneur, music producer, and voiceover artist. He graduated from the Durban University of Technology in 2004 with a Diploma in Drama. This included drama, acting, singing, and writing. The talented SA actor played Mandlakhe in eTV’s Rhythm City. He also played Mkhonto on IFALAKHE season 2 on Mzansi Magic, and he also played Zwelincane on eHostela. He’s currently a headline actor on Uzalo, which has dominated all the soap operas in SABC. He goes by the name “Pastor Gwala.”
MUSIC CAREER
He’s a rapper and producer. He also owns a band called The New Sound Of Fame SA. He has a YouTube channel called Menzi Biyela, where he shares his music and some shots of his career as an actor and how he relates to other actors. As of 2023, he and his band are planning to drop more projects coastally.
