EZULWINI – Love, longing, and last chances come to life in “Ungakhohlwa Ngami“, the upcoming single from two of Eswatini’s rising music talents — Wess June Ten and Sne Whittey.
Set to release on 6 June 2025, the heartfelt duet translates to “Don’t Forget Me“, capturing the emotional weight of separation with stunning vulnerability.
Muzi Sibusiso Mkhonta, better known as Wess June Ten, has been making a name for himself since 2023 with songs like “Thul’Ubheke” and “Vula“. Known for his emotional delivery and melodic flows, Wess now teams up with TikTok-discovered sensation Sne Whittey in a track that’s as spontaneous as it is soul-stirring.

The story behind the song reads like a movie. After spotting Sne on TikTok, Wess was instantly drawn to her velvety vocals. The two quickly agreed to collaborate — but fate threw them a curveball. Just two weeks after meeting, Sne announced she was relocating for work. With one day left before her move, they raced against time to create something unforgettable.
“I quickly made the beat and she came through,” says Wess. “We recorded the whole song in one day. She wrote her verse in 20 minutes. We made the hook together and I laid my verse down the next morning.”
The result is “Ungakhohlwa Ngami”, a bilingual ballad blending English and vernacular, with Sne’s soulful singing wrapping perfectly around Wess’s emotive bars. The single was mixed with help from DJ Navie (vocal mastering) and DJ Citie (beat mastering), giving it a radio-ready finish while staying true to its raw heart.
Wess says this song is particularly close to him. “I made the beat myself and handled all the production. I wanted to create something personal — a reminder to lovers not to forget each other when life pulls them apart.”

Although the song is not tied to an album, Wess hints that more collaboration with Sne is in the works. “My fans should expect to see us together more — more music, more shows. We’re coming strong.”
Since his debut, Wess has seen steady growth, bolstered by a top 10 finish in the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition. While being an independent artist hasn’t been easy, he remains focused on storytelling through music. “The best part is seeing fans really connect and support you. That’s what keeps me going.”
With “Ungakhohlwa Ngami”, Wess June Ten and Sne Whittey offer not just a song, but a shared emotional experience — a soft, resonant goodbye that refuses to fade.
