EZULWINI – Power suits, purpose, and sisterhood will take centre stage this Friday when the Women of Impact Leadership Forum brings fierce female energy to Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini.
The high-energy gathering is organised by the Wom-Pact Foundation, co-founded by Hloniphile Matsebula, who said the idea behind the forum was born out of a desire to create a space that doesn’t just gather women, but uplifts them.
Matsebula explained that this year’s theme, “Honoring Her Leadership, Celebrating Our Journey,” was carefully chosen to reflect both recognition and reflection.
She said it was important to give flowers to women who are making a difference in society, while also acknowledging the shared journeys and struggles that come with leading from the front.
“This is not just another event where we tick boxes,” she pointed out. “It’s about celebrating real impact and creating room for authentic conversations among women who are walking the talk.”
According to Matsebula, this forum will be different from previous Wom-Pact events, which were more formal and lecture-driven. She said this edition would offer a more relaxed, yet impactful atmosphere, where lived experiences would take the spotlight.
She confirmed that the forum will feature awards recognition, exhibitor stalls for entrepreneurs, and corporate tables that offer greater visibility for companies serious about gender empowerment.
The event is expected to attract a diverse mix of women, from top executives and entrepreneurs to aspiring leaders and students. While organisers aren’t revealing expected numbers just yet, Matsebula noted that public interest had been overwhelmingly positive, with many already securing their tickets.
For those interested in attending, ticket options include general admission at E500 per person, stalls for E300, and a premium corporate table package for E10,000, which includes reserved seating, media exposure, and branding opportunities.
Matsebula also confirmed that the keynote speaker will be aviation and trade expert Andile Mtetwa Amaeshi, who is widely recognised as a powerhouse in her field. Other speakers include Miliswa Mamba, Echo VanderWal, and Tizie Maphalala, all of whom have earned their stripes as influential changemakers.
The forum will be hosted by Programme Director Siphesihle Nkwanyana, who is expected to bring warmth and energy to the afternoon gathering.
Asked why people should attend, Matsebula said the forum was more than just a networking opportunity. “It’s a platform to connect with like-minded individuals, be inspired, and celebrate the achievements of women who continue to push boundaries,” she said.
The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 23 May 2025, from 1PM to 6PM, at Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini. Matsebula assured that the venue is centrally located, secure, and set up to ensure comfort for all attendees.
In a major boost, the forum has also secured sponsorship from TransMagnific, who will be giving away a Business Class Return Shuttle Ticket between Eswatini and Johannesburg, valued at E1,800. The prize will be raffled off during the event, with all attendees eligible to enter.
“This is just the beginning,” said Matsebula, when asked about the future of the initiative. “We see the forum as a launchpad for more meaningful programmes under Wom-Pact, and we’re excited to grow our partnerships across the continent.”
Tickets can be purchased through MoMo Marketplace by saving +268 7808 4000 on WhatsApp, sending “hi,” and following the prompts. Other payment options include eWallet, Unayo, or direct bank deposit to the Wom-Pact Foundation’s Standard Bank account.
