MANZINI – South African music greats Big Zulu and Gatsheni are confirmed as headline acts for Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) opening, and wait there’s more entry is free!
The EITF official opening will be headlined by South African artists Big Zulu and Gatsheni.
The opening will take place on August 31, 2024 at the Mavuso Sports Centre Stadium. The SA headline acts this year have been confirmed and they will be supported by local artists and homegrown MC’s. Entry to the official opening on August 31, 2024 is free. Gates open at 8am.
This was confirmed by Siphesihle Nkhabindze spokesperson of the Eswatini International Trade Fair today. He went on to share with this publication that the public will not be expected to pay to enjoy the entertainment lineup which has been prepared for the day.
He said, “We are excited to be hosting local talent at the Trade Fair Official Opening this year. Our home grown talent is gifted and we look forward to them performing for emaSwati at the Official Opening. We can also confirm that South African hit makers Big Zulu and Gatsheni will be performing on 31 August. We encourage everyone to come to the Trade Fair at Mavuso Sports Centre on this day and to take part in this event.”
This year, the Trade Fair will showcase some of the best local talent on stage in the form of MC’s and performing artists. The event’s hosts are Missy Unique and Mdura. They will be joined on stage by Young Zesh and Sipho Makhabane. DJ MBO is the resident DJ of the Opening Ceremony.
This year, the Trade Fair will take place from 30 August to 8 September 2024. The 10-day event features business, sporting activities, kids entertainment, music, shopping, government services and much more. The public can download the EITF App to stay updated on the Trade Fair. The EITF App can be accessed as follows:
• By visiting the Google Play Store and searching “EITF Digital Platform” and selecting ‘Install”; or
• By using a browser and visiting https://bit.ly/eitfweb. The browser option will also work for non-android operating system users or those who cannot download the App onto their phones.
Once downloaded, the App will allow users to register, sign-in and stay updated on the EITF programme as information is released.
